Action macros evaluated as color detection

If he has used or plans to use macros in SWTOR

.

Recently, more and more players are starting to use various automation tools in the Old Republic. Mainly aimed at easier and faster chat, but there are also advanced tools like PvP, quick respec, and hatball acquisition. It's not that you can't use macros in SWTOR from gamereasy.com. It's a mistake for most people, but it can be difficult for those who are familiar with using other MMORPGs.

Phillip Holmes, Head of Security at SWTOR, has posted a helpful forum post on text macros, color detection, sorting, and sorting used by the most creative players. If he has used or plans to use macros in SWTOR, it is strongly recommended that you read his entire post to ensure that what he is doing does not violate our Terms of Service.

Strictly speaking, text macros go against ToS. If used for emotes etc, and not as a way to inform others that a war zone attack is imminent (eg snow), it will blind you to some degree. Of course, firing emotes quickly, in quick succession, and multiple times will be evaluated as spam.

When you type "enter chat" with one click, you type "snow inc!" And you hit Enter, a text macro designed to alert others completely violates the Terms of Service. You have a choice to make: do you take the time to type "incsnow" into the ops group or do you keep fighting this person... Think of it as an assessment of whether you're using unfair tools? Have an advantage over those who are not using the same tools.

Action macros evaluated as color detection
The very act of determining the color of a pixel on the screen and using a particular action as a result is an easy-to-understand example of what is called automation. As soon as two things happen based on a single keystroke, it goes against ToS.

Sequence click
If you press the same key four times and the system is set to "1, 1, 1, 1", instead of just firing the 1 linked to it, you'll get "1, 2, 3" Fire. 4', then hit it in its gray area, which isn't true automation as long as you hold it to 'one key == press another key'. There is a warning. You can't let the macro determine the minimum click-to-click time to avoid the global cooldown, and activate the next buttons in sequence only if the GCD has expired.

Instead, pressing 1 launches 1, 2, 3, and 4 quickly in a row, or at once (ie with one click == many actions), launching what isn't currently started. If you are using the system, it is in the cooling state, which is against ToS. Again, a click should always equal an action and an action in the game.

Abuse detection
There are many claims based on guesswork, you don't know when a person is doing system automation, like field respect in seconds. Logs a specific event or a collection of similar events that occur multiple times each time you interact with the server. You can use the scanning engine to inspect (and run!) these logs. If you want to know more about the concept, search "big data" on Google. We strive to make all game change decisions based on the data we have, and we have a lot of data.

We also use that data for game forensics with swtor credits. In most cases, you may not respond in real time, but as fools know, you can act on irrefutable data. Now that this topic is in the spotlight, what are we going to do next?
