As a first, players will have the chance to unlock a wide range of newly-created Rune Words in the Ladder system! To clarify, these Rune Words have never existed in the game prior to now, and they are not available in non-Ladder play like the previous collection of Ladder-only Rune Words in the original Diablo II experience. When a Ladder season the players who were able to create the Rune Words will have their Ladder characters changed to an "non-Ladder" variation of the game. In the beginning of the next Ladder season, the players will create a brand new Ladder character and start all over again to gain new rewards.
