The development team will have more time to create something unique and appealing to the public, making their work more visible in the eyes of the public while increasing sales of games, which might reduce or eliminate the attraction of having harmful microtransactions.

It is true that the NBA 2K series is still NBA 2K Coins producing Take-Two quite a bit of money, however its longevity depends on its capacity to grow and develop. A separate MyCareer game could achieve both of these goals.
