Identical twins Helen Besgrove , a marketing executive, and Kirsty Neal , a GP, share their different experiences perceiving the world Helen Besgrove: My twin sister, Kirsty, and I have a very similar experience of synaesthesia in that our experiences of sounds, tastes, smells, words, noises and motion is very visual. Whether it’s a name, a personality, a sound or a smell – everything has a colour and a texture in our mind’s eye.

What’s interesting is that the colours and the textures Kirsty and I see can be very different. When I drink a glass of chardonnay, I get these swirls of custardy oil but Kirsty might describe the same wine as fuzzy or blobby.

It’s the same with people’s personalities, which we both see as a coloured and textured aura around that person. My best friend Jenn’s personality is poo brown, which she hates.

Na een afwezigheid van een jaar keert de wielerkoers Veenendaal-Veenendaal weer terug op de wielerkalender. De Nederlandse eendagskoers op ProTour-niveau ging vorig jaar niet door vanwege de NAVO-top, waardoor niet voldoende politie beschikbaar was om de koers te begeleiden.

Ook dit jaar waren er grote twijfels over de haalbaarheid. De wielerkoers kampt namelijk al jaren met financiële problemen.

Vorige week deed de organisatie nog een noodoproep en daar is door de gemeente Veenendaal gehoor aan gegeven. Donderdagavond besloot de gemeenteraad om het evenement te steunen.

Prinses Amalia heeft de Algemene Militaire Opleiding (AMO) aan het Defensity College afgerond. Ze is bevorderd tot korporaal omdat ze de opleiding heeft voltooid, meldt de Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst (RVD).

Amalia maakte vorig jaar bekend dat ze haar bachelor Nederlands recht aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam ging combineren met een leerwerktraject aan het Defensity College. Ze begon afgelopen september aan de opleiding tot reservist .

De AMO is onderdeel van haar tweejarige militaire opleiding. De opleiding bestaat niet alleen uit theoretische onderdelen zoals kaartlezen, beveiligen en leiderschap.

AdGuard heeft zijn eigen vpn-protocol opensource beschikbaar gemaakt. Het protocol heet nu TrustTunnel en moet concurreren met bijvoorbeeld OpenVPN en WireGuard, maar is volgens AdGuard moeilijker te detecteren voor externe diensten.

AdGuard publiceert de technische specificaties en maakt de broncode beschikbaar voor hergebruik.
