In Brussel is er opluchting, nadat Trump gisteravond toch afzag van nieuwe importheffingen en, nog belangrijker, van het innemen van Groenland. Toch kreeg de relatie tussen de EU en de Verenigde Staten deze week opnieuw een enorme knauw.

Op een ingelaste top praten de leiders van de 27 EU-landen vanavond over de vraag hoe de EU verder moet met Trump. Dat de VS geen klassieke bondgenoot meer is, weten ze in Brussel al een tijdje.

Sinds vicepresident Vance een jaar geleden de aanval opende op Europa, is de relatie met de Amerikanen op zijn zachtst gezegd stroef. Deze week bereikt de relatiecrisis een nieuw dieptepunt.

Raúl Moro keert na een half jaar bij Ajax al terug naar Spanje. De 23-jarige Spanjaard verkast naar Osasuna, de huidige nummer twaalf van La Liga.

Afgelopen zomer tekende hij nog tot medio 2030 bij Ajax. "Helaas kon hij in Nederland niet helemaal aarden, waardoor hij graag terug wilde keren", verklaart directeur voetbalzaken Marijn Beuker.

At Magis, there is no project without research. And when the collaboration with Konstantin Grcic began, in the late 90s, the subject of that research was a technology not commonly used to produce furniture: aluminium die-casting.

At that time, an unexplored territory that left space for creativity. The image of hot, liquid aluminium fired into the mould inspired a geometric design based on subtraction, with flat triangular elements joined at the edges and empty spaces characterising the aesthetics of the chair.

De relatie tussen de EU en de VS staat onder ongekende druk door de uitspraken van de Amerikaanse president Donald Trump over Groenland. Hoewel de situatie wat gede-escaleerd lijkt, roept de situatie de vraag op: moeten we de VS nog wel als bondgenoot behandelen?
